The RWE Group is an occupational pension scheme established under trust. The RWE Group forms part of the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme (the ESPS).
The RWE Group’s assets are separate from the Principal Employer’s assets and are managed by the Group Trustees.
The Group Trustees have a wide range of duties and obligations, which include paying benefits, investing the RWE Group’s assets, and making sure that members’ interests are protected.
The Group Trustees are either appointed by the Principal Employer or by RWE Group members. All the Group Trustees have equal rights and responsibilities.
The ESPS is a registered pension scheme for the purposes of HMRC. This means that the RWE Group benefits from the tax reliefs available to pension and can offer a tax efficient way of saving for your retirement.
The RWE Group is governed by a trust deed and rules. The trust deed and rules is a legal document that sets out how the RWE Group should be run and how the Group Trustees should administer the benefits under the RWE Group.
The Group Trustees produce an audited annual report and accounts each year. You can get a copy of the RWE Group’s annual report by contacting the Administrator of RWE Group, WTW.
The Group Trustees prepare and maintain a Statement of Investment Principles for the RWE Group. This explains the principles the Group Trustees use in managing the scheme’s investments as well as the investments used to fund benefits.
The implementation statement reports on information on various aspects of the Group's Statement of Investment Principles (SIP).
The TCFD report sets out the process for the RWE Group to meet the TCFD requirements, in accordance with the Pension Regulator's interpretation of those requirements.
Contact WTW for copies of the trust deed and rules or the Annual Report.
